about

Penned for the 'Manifold' event series - an inspired live art project put together by the Tilt dance platform, matching choreographers, dancers and musicians together across the Kazimier club - for a winter 2015 performance night. I worked with experienced choreographer, teacher, instructor, mentor and ultra expressive user of movement Lauren Tucker on more than one occasion. This track came out of a live recording I made using the 303/808/909 emulation software ReBirth, sketched out using a pre-built framework of patches - y'all know how 'jamming' works ;;)) Our venn diagram led us to something fairly heavy and definitely destined for the dance floor itself. Listening back now, it functions well enough on its own, acting as a mid-paced chugger. Reference points at the time included the likes of Shackleton; I was big into acid techno as you can tell. A pleasure, a privilege. RIP The Octagon, The Heron, The Malevichian.
