about

A compilation consisting of a set of improvisations (and/or exercises) for processed electric/electronic guitar, dating from January through March 2015.

The tracks that make up 'Uxurcisus' form a shell and are designed to act as stems i.e. they are roughly around the same tonal centre, so more than one piece can be played at the same time. Re-use and re-purposing is thereby heavily encouraged, and regarded as part of the 'process'.

Spontaneous music made using extended techniques for guitar, plus granular re-synthesis, microsampling, and multi-channel polyrhythmic processing.

Dedicated to Liverpool's creative community, but particularly those that have surrounded me over the past five years.

Life is too short to let things sit on hard drives unattended for no-one else to hear.

Performed and captured by George \m/ with the assistance of Unicursal-101.
